Center City WINKs
The New York Times real estate section had an interesting article last Friday about WINKs (women with income, no kids). According to the article, almost half of all condominium buyers in New Jersey in 2008 were women in this category. Check out the article.
I'm not at all surprised by this. In Center City we have had WINKs for a long time due to their ability to live in a highrise with security. As a single female, they prefer the 24 hour doorman and parking in the building. Basically, WINKs do not want to be winked at while fumbling for their keys in a walkup ;)
