The American Planning Association just announced its 2010 award winners for Great Places in America. Rittenhouse Square was named one of the top ten Great Public Spaces for being "...a vibrant neighborhood of shops, offices, homes, schools, hotels and cultural institutions. The mixture of uses and the surrounding buildings provides a constant source of people who use the square throughout the day and evening."
